"Could not add comments: unable to create conversation thread" error on migration to Planner

When migrating tasks to Microsoft Planner using Project Migrator, you might encounter the error: "Could not add comments: unable to create conversation thread." This issue occurs due to insufficient permissions for the account connected to Planner.

Root cause:

The migration account does not have the necessary permissions to add Task Comments in Planner. Specifically, the account must have an Exchange Online license to create conversation threads and add task comments.

How to resolve the issue:

1. Assign the required license: Ensure that the migration account is assigned an Exchange Online license.

Alternatively, use another account that already has the required license assigned.

2. Restart the migration:
