Sharing Dashboards

APPLIES TO: EPM Pulse for Project Online, EPM Pulse On-Premises Edition


Private and Public Dashboards

By default, all newly created dashboards are considered Private and are visible only to the dashboard author. In order to make a dashboard visible to other users, it is required to mark this dashboard as Public. To make a dashboard Public perform the following:

  1. Open a dashboard for editing.
  2. Click the Properties button.
  3. Open the Options tab.
  4. Check the Publiccheckbox.
  5. Click the Apply button.

Dashboard Link

To share a dashboard via an email, chat, Intranet portal, etc. users can generate a permanent link for it. To generate a permanent link perform the following:

  1. Open a dashboard.
  2. Click 'Link' in the toolbar.
  3. Copy the link from the 'Link' text box in the pop-up window.


Please note: To use this link Project Online users should log in to EPM Pulse first from the PWA site. When the users log in to EPM Pulse they can use this link to open the Dashboard.


PWA embed code

In EPM Pulse Online and Data Mart the 'Permanent link for Dashboard' window also provides a PWA embed code (public dashboards only). This code can be used for embedding EPM Pulse Dashboards to the PWA site.

To copy a PWA embed code perform the following:

  1. Open a public dashboard.
  2. Click 'Link' in the toolbar.
  3. Copy the code from the 'PWA embed code' text box in the pop-up window.
