Task progress migration
The scenario gives you a great possibility to work on your tasks, update the progress of your tasks in Planner and easily transfer status completion to Project Online.
Task progress is synchronized from Planner to Project Online in the following way:
- “Not started” is synchronized as 0% to the "%Complete" field;
- “In progress” is synchronized as 50% to the "%Complete" field;
- “Completed” is synchronized as 100% to the "%Complete" field.
Please note: "Actual work" and "Remaining work" fields in Project Online project will be automatically recalculated by Project Online after data synchronization according to the new value set for the "%Complete" field.
Multi assignments
This scenario supports transferring a task from Planner to Project Online with multiple assignments. In this way, you can assign several resources to the same task in Planner and transfer these details to your Project in Project Online. Assignments are matched by email so the emails in Planner and Project Online should be identical for successful synchronization of the assignments. To transfer a task with the assignment the resource with the correct email should exist on your PWA. If the resource is not added to your PWA, it will not be transferred from Planner. If the resource exists on the PWA it will be added to the Project Team automatically and will be assigned to the task during task synchronization.
Task deletion
For one-way scenario from Planner to Project Online all tasks that you need to delete and that were involved in the integration scenario should be deleted in Planner. As you delete the tasks in Planner it is required to launch the integration scenario (either manually or wait until it is launched on schedule). After a successful integration all tasks you have deleted in Planner will be automatically deleted in Project Online.
Please note: If a task is deleted in Project Online and is not deleted in Planner it will be transferred again to Project Online after successful integration. The tasks will be transferred to Project Online again since this is a one-way scenario from Planner to Project Online. The changes performed in Project Online are not synchronized to Planner.
Please note: Master Projects are not supported for integrations.
Start/Due dates are not migrated for sub-tasks.
