This article describes how to use FluentBooks Download Projects to FPP files and Upload Projects from FPP files wizards in order to migrate Master Projects together with their Subprojects.
Please note: To use this functionality, FluentBooks requires the Microsoft Project Pro application to be installed. A version of Project Professional should be the same as the version of the source PWA. Also, please make sure that the Project Pro application is configured to start with the default account without any dialogs and that it is activated.
Download Projects to FPP files
1. Run FluentBooks, select the Import option from the File menu, and then ‘Download Projects to FPP files’.
2. Enter the Source PWA URL and login credentials and specify an Output folder to which *.fpp files should be downloaded.
Please note: It is recommended to choose an empty Output folder.
Also specify paths in Advanced Settings, if needed.

Click Next to go to the next step.
3. Select the projects to be downloaded.
Please note: Make sure to select only Master Projects from the list. Subprojects will be downloaded together with Master Projects.
Click Next to proceed.
FluentBooks will request to start Project Professional which is required for Projects data download, click Yes in the dialog window to confirm the start.
Allow the wizard some time to download Projects data, Show Log option allows viewing the log records in real-time during the download process.
4. Download Summary displayed after the import process is finished will show the Projects that were imported to FPP files from the source PWA.
Click Finish to close the wizard
Upload Projects from FPP files
1. Select the ‘Upload Projects from FPP files’ option from the Export menu to start the upload process.
Please note: To use this functionality FluentBooks requires Microsoft Project Professional application to be installed. A version of Project Professional should be the same as the version of the target PWA. Also, please make sure that Project Professional application is configured to start with the default account without any dialogs and that it is activated.
2. Specify the target PWA URL, login credentials, and the folder containing FPP files.
Also, check the Settings checkboxes, if needed.

Click Next to load the Projects list.
3. Select the Projects to be uploaded and click Next to proceed.
Please note: You will find only Master Projects on this step. Subprojects cannot be seen or chosen but Master Projects already contain them.
FluentBooks will request to start Project Professional which is required for Projects data upload, click Yes in the dialog window to confirm the start.
Allow the wizard some time to upload Project data, Show Log option allows viewing the log records in real-time during the upload process.
4. Upload Summary displayed after the export process is finished will show the Projects that were exported from FPP files to the target PWA.
Click Finish to close the wizard.
5. Navigate to the target PWA and make sure that all the necessary Master Projects and Subprojects are present.
